Achieving a vivid red light colour with an intense projection, the X-tremeUltinon gen2 allows you to signal to other drivers on the road not only more stylishly, but with heightened visibility. Avoiding the dim and ‘dotted’ effect of other (cheaply made) LED bulbs, the X-tremeUltinon gen2 range makes use of Philips’ Automotive-Grade Quality materials and expert craftsmanship to create an intense light projection with a uniform distribution.

In addition to offering huge style and performance enhancements, the Philips X-tremeUltinon gen2 boasts a resilient construction, which is highly resistant to damage from heat and shock. This durable design along with the highly efficient, low-wattage LED technology of the bulbs ensures that they last for an exceptionally long time – for up to 12 years.

(Though these LED bulbs can be fitted to any PY21W fitting – inside or outside the vehicle – their usage in an exterior application is not road legal; such usage must be confined to off-road driving. (Additionally, they may trigger a bulb error message to appear on the vehicle's on-board computer system / dashboard. This, along with potential flickering, is a harmless side-effect owing to the difference between halogen and LED technology. Any such warning errors may be removed with the additional installation of a CANbus control unit.)
