A bulb's output decreases with age so it is difficult to compare a replacement to the old bulb. However, in this case I believe the this bulb is noticeably brighter, especially in the brights mode than the old bulb when it was new.

Purchased for Xsara Picasso 2004.
Finally upgraded the garage fitted yellowish bulbs which you can't see where you are going at night. These are replaced at least 1 bulb per year (about £10).
Paid the extra & what a difference now, super bright, nice looking colour & can actually see where you are driving now at night.
No comment on longevity yet, but fitted with gloves on, so no fear of touching the bulbs!
Have since purchased side light bulbs as well.
Great price, great service & would definitely recommend the bulbs & powerbulbs to deliver them.

I wanted a brighter light for my 99 CRV, and I first tried an LED conversion kit which did not fit at all and was a nightmare to install. It did not throw the beam properly—low beam was just a few feet in front of the car, high beam was way up in the trees; definitely NOT made for my vehicle. Sent them back and got a refund. I ordered these Philips X-treme Vision, installed them in 10 minutes and got the results I wanted. MUCH more light on the road where it counts. Very happy with these and the price.

Fitted to Mazda 2 DJ Max 2014. I found out that LEDs here as replacement globes are not road legal.. as over 2000 lumens they need washers or wipers and a self levelling set up. So I went for these Phillips xtreme Vision globes. I found the connectors to the back of the globes were stuck on hard..so I had a Mazda dealer fit the new globes for $20. Turns out you just gotta pull them HARD !!! The new globes are clearly brighter than the old original ones and are worth the price. Several weeks in now and going well. Not like LED but a noticeable improvement at night.

After having a look on YouTube and reading many reviews I expected Big Things from the Philips X-Treme Vision+130% bulbs. I was X-Tremely disappointed with their lack of performance. Barely any better than the standard 14 year old bulbs that they replaced. 5% improvement if I'm being generous. A lot of Hype and a Little bit of improvement. No fault of Power Bulbs, they supplied the product in good time and at a good price, the fault is in the product. Good Sales pitch by Philips and I got sucked in.

My Nissan Leaf (Acenta)had normal H4 bulbs which were very weak for night time driving - and at 76 years old, I needed something stronger - as LEDs would be illegal I bought these main headlight bulbs. I can report a large improvement to the bulb's distance range and I feel more confident(after 3 weeks and including a journey of 280 miles and back, night time driving for half the time.) Just hope they last a long time.

Well priced, great lighting from the bulbs, quick service to aus also.
Overall i must say i am inpressed coming from the plus 120s to 130s. Very nice globe, anyone after a good globe at a reasonable prjce should consider these.
The light omitted is not yellow like a conventional globe but isn't white either. They're a mix between the two giving you a creamish clean tinge of light.

Bought these as replacement for standard Mini bulbs. I was initially disapointed as thought they'd be much brighter but I obviously missed the point. They are marginally brighter but the depth and breadth of the beam is much better. Don't know how as I thought the headlight lenses set that. Overall was worth the upgrade.

I have been using these headlight bulbs for about a month now and they have been very good. I would not describe them as extreme but then that word is rather over used these days. They are however about as bright as is legally acceptable and have a very good spread pattern on the road. I live 3 miles up a track so being able to see is important and these are much better than the Halfords equivalent. I would happily buy again.

Installed these bulbs on my civic ek3 and the result is outstanding. My headlights are able to light up a larger area and much further as well. Lights has a slight whitish colour. Highly recommended.

Arrived in perfect condition in not much more time than if I had ordered from a local supplier (live in southern Australia) but the big difference is the Powerbulbs were about half the local price, postage included.Bought the twin pack to install in both motorcycles (Kawasaki W800 and Honda 900 Hornet). Night performance is greatly improved over factory fitted bulbs (as expected) but the brighter, whiter light on dipped beam also makes the bikes more conspicuous to other road users during the day. Remains to be seen how long they will last, time will tell.

I took the bulb on my fave near Post office last July 12th. It took atleast 3 weeks from purchase date of Jun 19th.. They shipped it fast enough from UK to PH , though Customs and Mailing system here in PH sucks.. From UK it only took 4days to ship to PH, but inspection and delivery from post office takes years!! lol!! I'm very happy with the way they did on the package, it was well protected with multiple bubble wraps and box.. The packaging overall was excellent.. Both bulbs came ok and unharmed.. No damage and just installed 1 pair last Tuesday.. And also I love the 12-year Warranty, I feel confident and trusted the seller very well. The service was very responsive.. I emailed them and customer support responded right away..

I replaced original globes with Philips X-treme Vision + 130% H4 in my 1989 Holden Rodeo with rectangle shaped headlights and can say without doubt there is a definite improvement in brightness. The warm glow is now white and the real benefit is gained with the low beam setting. Simply improved. Also, I have not been flashed from oncoming traffic. These globes are a quick and simple solution to clearer night driving. I recommend.

I replaced the original H4 globes on my car with very white LEDs. Despite being VERY bright, the LEDs just didn't project down the road very well. It may not sound logical, but the LEDs were bright but not powerful. Replaced the LEDs with the Phillips X-treme Vision +130s and I couldn't be happier. The +130s are white, bright and powerful.

My Phillips X-Treme Vision + 130% bulbs arrived within the anticipated delivery time, very well packaged and in perfect condition. Installation in my 1999 Mazda Miata was straight-forward with no complications. I do not know how old the bulbs in the car were, having purchased the Miata four months ago with 166,000 miles on the odometer. But the headlights were very dim, even after a thorough lens cleaning. The Phillips bulbs are a great improvement. More coverage side to side and down the road. Not as bright as the stock bulbs in my '17 VW Alltrack, but that is to be expected. Very satisfied with my purchase. Great price and great service.

Best bulb I've had so far for vision. I wouldn't however recommend them for vehicles with lights on all the time. Longevity is not their strong point and I've killed 3 of these on my motorcycle in 50,000km.

Does exactly what it says on the Box. Fitted to Land Rover 110 Hardtop. Brilliant in Dark wet nights, snow/sleet and much reduced glare of snow poles/ road signs yet a least another 2 seconds in reaction time(You can pick out the deer/pot holes before you need a new front end) Shame Philips does not make Land Rover suspention systems:) I would recommend adding in a power relay if the lights are a wee bit dimmer than you expected.

Excellent visibility with these bulbs. I travel mainly on rural roads with no street lighting and very poor cat eyes. These bulbs give me the advantage of being able to see further ahead, and that makes for safer driving for me and others. Only down side is they don't last long, but the brightness for me far outways that detail.

At 65 (age not mph) you need good bulbs to put enough light on the road. These aren't the brightest apparently, but they're fine for me for now. As important is getting the headlight alignment right. Two garages got it wrong, one too high, one very badly low despite using MOT measuring! I found it best to find a flat car park at night, face the wall or shrubbery, and adjust them myself, to get maximum height possible without disturbing oncoming vehicles - then a good varied road test to check, OK!

At first I was apprehensive about purchasing 'delicate glass' globes from overseas, but I ought not to have been.
My H4 130 % X-treme Vision globes cost half of what I would pay here in Australia, inclusive of international freight, so I was prepared to give PowerBulbs a go.
Globes arrived 2 weeks from order date, and I received emails confirming order and despatch date, so felt confident in the process. Globes arrived in the original clear plastic Phillips case (as per website images), wrapped in bubble wrap and a cardboard box. I bought two sets of these bulbs, fitted them to my Landrover Discovery and Renault Trafic van. What a difference they made. The light colour is nice and crisp and beam projects well. Very satisfied with the product and the service I received from Powerbulbs.
The goods were shipped within one day of placing the order and my only disappointment was the three and a half week wait for delivery to Queensland, but I suspect that was down to Australia Customs and Australia Post and out with the control of Powerbulbs.
If you are able to wait for your order - it's well worth it, as two bulb sets cost me $67 but if I bought local, one set was going to cost $99.
Don't get ripped in Aus, use some savy and shop online. Powerbulbs is the place to go.

Little slow but made it to Australia within a few weeks, but with pricing thats about 30-40% less than what they cost from retailers here I cant complain. A really good improvement on the originals installed in an 06 Hyundai Getz both low and high. Much better beam penetration in wet weather too.

Excellent product at an excellent price for Australia by an excellent supplier in first class delivery time - can I say more? Unless you wish to buy ordinary product for just around the city driving, the Phillips or Osram products through Powerbulbs are the best way to buy the premium bulbs for price & quality. If you have to replace a blown bulb quickly, buy the local cheap but if you are planning a decent drive (in my case Perth to Sydney and return, about 12,000km over two months)do what I have done and stock up on the best. Happily test price with Australian suppliers and you will find Powerbulbs is Your Performer of Choice!
I have strongly recommended Powerbulbs to my friends.
Also, a few months ago I had to purchase new bulbs for my daughter's Mercedes C240. I had to replace one low beam bulb but given the car was 12 years old and still on its original factory fitted Osram bulbs, I opted for Osram again (limited or no stock in Australia) and purchased the new Osram bulbs through Powerbulbs and replaced the full complement of headlight bulbs (4 off) in one belt. Totally happy with the product.

Although they won't last as long as other lights, they still had a average lifespan of two years in my previous car. The last set only lasted one year but I did a lot of off-road as I have bought a 4wd.I tend to drive with my lights on all the time.

These days I'm doing quite a lot of driving on country roads at night. If there's wildlife beside the road, you need to spot it as soon as possible.
It's hard to install driving lights on a Hyundai Getz so I bought these bulbs in the hope of improving the existing headlights.
Actually they are substantially better than the existing Philips 60/55W H4 bulbs. The light is whiter and brighter, and the high beam range is considerably longer.
I'd recommend these bulbs to anyone wanting to easily get better performance from their existing H4 headlights.

These headlight globes made a huge difference to my car compared to the standard Narva globes I had fitted.
I can now drive at night safely without having to worry about seeing what's ahead in complete darkness. These light up the road ahead from a very long distance which is what you want in a globe.

I bought these to replace Osram bulbs after one popped when hitting a large pothole,they were given a good review in Auto Express, the headlight fittings are quite awkward to access on my swift but the light spread is very good, I did have to alter the angle down one notch to prevent blinding oncoming traffic but have no problems now. Very pleased with them..

Literally - I bought these just over a month ago for my Citroen Xsara Picasso. Having owned several Citroens in the past I have found that, without exception, the lights haven't been particularly good to say the least and certainly not really good enough for comfortable driving round unlit fen back roads in the winter. These lamps have made a huge difference in that I estimate that I can see along the road edges probably twice as far as with the 'normal' bulbs and I wish I'd looked into this ages ago. This set are for spares. My previous set now 12 months old are really bright with an extended beam length. However, having 2 filaments means you need to lower the beam so as not to dazzle on coming traffic when dipped. On my Suzuki Swift this still keeps an extended beam along the curb, which is great when on coming traffic dazzles you.

Fitted to my Hyundai i20 light is most certainly much brighter and the dip beam cut off sharp/distinct. Due to the budget headlight design on the i20 you don't see further, but my lights are now are bright as my wife's car that uses projector style headlights. I would offer 5 stars except the lighst don't look 130% brighter more like 50%, but well worth buying at Powerbulb prices.

I have owned quad installed HID conversion kites in the past, so I am experienced with what can be achieved in terms of colour and brightness.
Although I still have a set of HID transformers, these bulbs were about half the price that the correct style HID bulbs would have cost me.
All in all, I am extremely pleased with the results; the colour is good as is the brightness (about half-way between stock and HID).
I found it impossible to remove the stock bulbs myself and ended up taking the car to a dealer to do the swap for me. I believe that it took the dealer all of 30 min of shop time to do both.

Extreme Vision VS Nightbreaker???

I have now been using both Exteme Vision (EV) and Nightbreaker (NB) globes in 3 vehicles over a period of several years. Vehcles being a Suzuki GV5 in Norway and a Suzuki GV3 & Mitsubishi Triton/L300 in Australia. They are both incredibly good bulbs compared to standard bulbs! My observations on there dfferences are as follows:
1) Extreme Vision - + more standard milky coloured light, + incredibly dense low beam (almost like a short range high beam!), + extremely long range and dense high beam lights (not even contemplating needing driving lights with this range), + smooth and broad beam pattern, ? Very sharp cut off of lower edge of low beam (fills out when fog lights used.
2) Nightbreaker- + bright and noticably much whiter light (great for driving in snow),+ low and high beam range excellent but not as dense or as long as (EV), ?some streaking in beam pattern (2 cars - probably lens related), + good low beam spread (bit more fog light type spread)
CONCLUSIONS- both EV & NB are great bulbs! EV are great for pure grunt in light density, distance and beam spread. NB are bright and white but less intense in density and range but have a less defined low beam cut off bottom edge. They are great for driving in snow due to the whiter light taking advantage of reflection from snow surfaces. As my sister so wisely told her daughters when asked who was her favourite...."I love them both equally".. But I must admit I love the EV a little more equally than the NB puely and simply for the quality and quantity of light output! It is also wise to keep in mind that there are certainly dfferences in performance from car to car due to individual differences in light design. The above conclusions are based on the use of both EV & NB in 3 different cars in some very varied terrains! Hope EV vs NB first time buyers find this useful!

Replaced GE standard bulbs in a skoda citigo - These are very much brighter and the cut offs are sharper. The higher colour temperature is easier on my old eyes. This higher colour temperature shows up the yellowness of the DRLs. It is a pity that Power Bulbs does not sell the Philips Vision Plus 30% 580 bulbs to match up the DRL and sidelight bulb colour temperature appearance.

I bought these bulbs to replace the factory bulbs in my 2012 tacoma and installed them a month ago. The bulbs are noticably brighter and put out a brighter longer beam.I previoulsy had HIR bulbs in my accord and I would consider these bulbs to be more intense and throw further (at least thats my perception). I would recommend these bulbs for those who are looking for a significant upgrade to your current halogen factory bulbs.

I got 2 years/40,000 km out of my previous X-treme Vision +100% and replaced them with these +130%s. The updated bulbs don't appear to be '30% brighter' as they claim but they are just as good as the bulbs I replaced, if not a little brighter. High quality product for a good price & a far better choice than your typical 'tinted' bulb, a la PIAA.
If I get another 2 years out of these, that'll be quite impressive indeed.

The OEM bulbs were awful - no good at night and you are in trouble if it is night AND raining. The next set were Osram that I bought from Power Bulbs. They were much better than the OEMs. They lasted about a year. Decided to try these and I am not disappointed. They are great! I still expect to have to replace after a year but I don't mind since the OEM bulbs were a serious safety issue.

These bulbs are literally brilliant compared to standard bulbs. Their reach are so good that anything, especially reflective can be seen so distinctly in the far distance. These bulbs are definitely much whiter, but not a lot brighter than the standard OEM bulb in my 2011 Ford Falcon. Just like the other 'plus' bulbs, it's more like one-fifth of what is stated: +50 is really about +10 and these +130 would be about +25% brighter. About the seller -
When the bulbs, that I had ordered, arrived, I found to my dismay that one of them had come out of its seating and was rolling around, hitting the other bulb. On fixing these, I found the low beams not working. Hastily I shot off a mail (with pics) to Powerbulbs complaining about the packaging and the defect. They promptly sent their apologies and told me that they were sending me replacements. Later it was discovered that the wires had not be connected properly and the low beams were indeed working. Though I asked them to cancel the replacement pack, I was pleasantly surprised to find the bulbs at my doorstep a few days later. I would not hesitate to buy from them or recommend them to my friends.
About the product -
They appear to be slightly whiter and brighter than the stock bulbs. I suppose my expectations were a bit unrealistic.

I bought the Philips X-treme Vision +130% H4 (Twin Pack) from Powerbulbs to replace the existing bulbs in my second-hand Holden Commodore. This car had an ongoing problem with yellowish headlights from the day I bought it, followed by burnt-out headlight switches twice, and then the hi-beam flash switch in the blinker stalk welded itself permanently on.
I know these new bulbs were the right choice for my car (which does not have headlight relays), because when I examined the old bulbs that came out, they were labelled as 140/100Watt, and not the 60/55Watt rating for the electrical system in my car.
Lessons learnt - after you buy a second-hand car, inspect the headlamp bulbs to make sure that the previous owner did not install over-rated car-rally or hoon bulbs that can really damage any normal car's electrical system. My car even pulls harder now, because the engine power is not being diverted to run over-rated headlight bulbs.

The bulbs look very bright in high bean and has a an impeccable range. The low beam lights up half the distance of high beam and the road looks very clear that you do not require to use the high beam frequently.
Great for Highways and city driving. Highly recommended!

These bulbs were a massive improvement over the factory bulbs! I would recommend these to anyone looking for a halogen replacement bulb. The only wasway to get better light output would be to retrofit an HID system in correctly.

Fitted these to several motorcycles, even ran one lopsided with one of the old bulbs in the other light for comparison. Not only are they a much sharper, whiter beam, but they're noticeably brighter as well. Don't misunderstand, these aren't £20 HID's, but you'll not get better without investing in some serious upgrade hardware.

This is my third pair for my 04 Forester and they really help light up the road better than the OE bulbs. They average 15-18 months worth of life with DRL's at about 5 hours use per week.

I would challenge anyone to find better, brighter, lighting for any car with H4 fitting. (Still the most common on cars over the past 25 + years.)

I recently purchased a used car, and the lights in it were just standard replacements, it was alright to drive at night, however rather dull, going from projector HID's to reflector Halogen.
So I decided to get one set of Philips X-tremeVision +130% in H4 and H1 for the high beam, they arrived yesterday and were installed that night.
The difference between the standards and the +130%'s is simply astonishing!
I honestly don't know how they get the extra brightness out of the same wattage and similar amperage (maybe I should research it) but these bulbs have to be hands down the best halogen bulbs I have ever purchased that are street legal.

After installing these bulbs , I could able to see substantial difference interms of Lighting,Beam length and overall performance compare to philips xtreme vision +100%,these bulbs are far far superior. I am very happy with the performance and only problem I had observed is I could not able to get Pointed or focused beam, for which I had tried my level best to adjust my headlights and bulbs also. I lit both the beams together for superb and satisfying results by putting the dim & dip lever at the centre in my HYUNDAI AMICA. I strongly suggest these bulbs for purchase for which you will not repent.

I was using blue effect bulbs before, which by the way are all useless. Xtreme vision are white bulbs but with a lot better vision quality. I recommend them by far comparing to other bulbs. They look better as the yellow effect is disappeared and at the same time you have a better view on the road at night.

These are excellent bulbs. Last set lasted about 18 months before one bulb blew. I drive up an down motorways a lot and noticed the different on the road. They give excellent light and much brighter than standard halogen bulbs. Would recommend.

I could bore you with technical jargon, however, simply put these globes provide more whiter light over a greater area than the original fitment H4 globes. I see more and so I feel safer when driving at night. As for the cost, well, its less than half a tank of fuel.

I find these bulbs great on low beam in my 2012 Hyundai Accent, very bright white light. On high beam the light has a yellow tinge and doesn't seem to travel as far as my previous Sylvania Silverstar ZXE Halogen Bulbs. Will try something else next time.

These headlight bulbs are terrific. I can see much clearer, brighter and for longer distance. Very helpful for an elder driver especially on unlighted highways. I will definitely buy them again when they start to dim and I'm planning to buy some for my relatives who drive older cars.

Fitted these bulbs to my 2000 Land Rover Discovery.
They are a significant improvement to the previous standard bulbs. I have noticed a small dark spot in the light pattern centralised at the outer each of the dipped beam light spread. This is the only negative but would not stop me buying these bulbs again as the benefits far out weigh this minor negative.

Ordered Philips X-Treme Vision +130% H4 on line on Friday afternoon. They were delivered Saturday morning and installed in our 59 plate Suzuki Swift before lunch! [My dealer couldn't look at the car for nearly a week!!]
Great bulbs: they have a well defined beam pattern with a good throw of white light and there is no dazzle for oncoming drivers.
Big thumbs up from me for both Powerbulbs service and the Philips bulbs.

I was experiencing a dingy yellowish glow this winter when driving down the local lanes and the vision was poor. Was it old bulbs? Well I purchased the X-treme Vision + 130% and what a difference they made. They really do as they say and now I can safely see where I am going these dark winter nights.

Bought these about a year and a half ago. I usually go with the OSRAM but figured I'd try these since they advertise brighter light emission. They are definitely bright, but not too bright to get negative attention. However, my driver side bulb burnt out recently. So now I am back. Will be testing out the OSRAM again.

I have used Blue vision bulbs for a few years and thought I would give these X-treme bulbs a try and they are much better and give a longer beam on dip so I find I don't use main beam so much and are just as bright as Blue Vision bulbs,worth every penny.

Having had a set of Extreme Vision (size H7 that I use on my Ford Focus), I decided to give this new +130% a try as I was looking for a set for my 7 year old Ford Ranger. They seem to do the job well and very bright compared to the standard GE/ Sylvania/ Osram globes that I have been using all this while. Although where did Philips get the additional +30%????? Didn't really feel that much brighter compared to the +100% that I am using on my Ford Focus.

I've been around the market for several years trying to find bulbs that give off more light with a pure white glow, and these bulbs from phillips are the best ones I've come across, I've used ring, and the osram ones in all filament's and colours but for overall performance and brightness, these bulbs are incredible, they give off so much light with a good throw, and superior distance, really do light up the road, no doubt the single filament h7 bulb would perform even better! These bulbs are the best on the market, good delivery and theres 20% off if you purchase them now. They claim 130% more light and this is justified! A must buy for winter.
